Dr. Mario Palermo is a member of the
American Optometric Association, the Illinois Optometric
Association, Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce, and he
is a board member of the United Eyecare Providers. After
completing his under graduate schooling at the University of
Illinois, he received his doctorate at the Illinois College
of Optometry in 1981. He is also certified in the fitting of
the revolutionary new CRT Contact Lenses.
With his cousin in 1981, he entered into practice in
Arlington Heights. Because of Dr. Palermo's professional
talents, the practice grew to where his full time devotion
was necessary to accommodate the patients who wanted Dr.
Palermo to care for their eyes. Hence, "Dr. Palermo &
Associates" was born. |

In February of 2003, growing pains again forced
Dr Palermo to facilities three times the size of his old office,
which also boasts of "State-of-the-Art" optometric technologies. As a proud husband and father, Dr. Palermo's goal in life is
the same as in the office. He honestly cares. His compassion
for his patients is unparalleled. He listens to what his
patients needs are, and he delivers. |

Following in her father's chosen
profession as an optometrist, Dr. Laura Palermo (Dr. Mario
Palermo's daughter), graduated from the prestigious Illinois
College of Optometry (ICO). Dr. Palermo completed her under
graduate courses from the University of Southern California
(USC), and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology
from Northern Illinois University (NIU).
Dr. Palermo, a current member in good standing of the the
American Optometric association (AOA) and the Illinois
Optometric Association (IOA), has chosen to specialize in
Optometric Pediatrics. |

Dr. Giuseffi graduated from Illinois
College of Optometry in 1983 Cum Laude.
He has co-managed
LASIK since 1998 and is currently an active member in good
standing of the Laser Network, as well as a certified doctor
in Corneal Refractive Surgery.
He also is an active member
in good standing of the American and Illinois Optometric
societies since 1978. |

Kevin J. Kovach, M.D.~ |

Dr Kovach was one of the first Refractive
Surgeons to preform lasik surgery in DuPage County. A
resident of DuPage County, Illinois since birth, refractive
surgeon Kevin Kovach, MD, graduated cum laude from Loyola
Stritch School of Medicine in 1992.
After completing his residency at the Loyola University
Medical Center in 1996, Dr. Kovach joined our team of board
certified eye surgeons. His extensive experience in LASIK
eye surgery for the treatment of myopia, hyperopia, and
astigmatism has earned him a reputation throughout the
Chicago, Illinois area as a leading refractive surgeon.

His diligent and comprehensive approach to eye
care includes continued training in the latest laser techniques
available for treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, macular
degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Additionally, Dr. Kovach's
commitment to patient education enables our patients to make
knowledgeable decisions about their treatment plan. |
